The Lotus Elan M100 was launched in August 1989. Its design, featuring a fibreglass
composite body over a rigid steel backbone chassis, was true to Lotus founder Colin
Chapman's original philosophy of achieving performance through low weight. It used a 1.6
liter DOHC 16-valve engine, sourced from Isuzu and extensively modified by Lotus. 0–60
acceleration time was measured by Autocar and Motor magazine at 6.5 seconds, and a top

This is a genuine Lotus Elan M100 Turbo with just over 46,000 miles on the clock. Newly
fitted water pump, cam belt, tension bearing, high quality silicone hoses. CD USB player,
new interior, original Lotus wheels included. 1 year tax paid. The car would benefit from
having new window rubbers which are inexpensive. Note: the rubbers have been installed.
Also new driveshaft installed on passenger's side. Alarm system installed. Backup alarm
