The resort has 24-hour security guards as well as a resort center with another big free pool and an office with various services. The yearly maintenance fee for the resort is 30,000 THB plus government land tax of around 800 THB. The house was built in 2015 with 1 owner who has maintained it very well.
The area around Mae Rampueng Beach and Ban Phe town is generally relaxed and quiet with beautiful nature and a mix of Thai and western visitors. The beach road offers many good small restaurants and 7-Elevens as well as some cozy pubs. The nearby old fishing town of Ban Phe (10 minutes by car) has supermarkets (BigC, Makro, Lotus Express), coffee shops, Doctor's clinics, and also old fashioned markets with fresh food and seafood. There are also boats to the popular island Koh Samet for a day trip or an overnight stay.
The city of Rayong 20 minutes away has modern shopping malls, good hospitals and local markets. For more nightlife or bigger tourist attractions visit the tourist spot Pattaya 1 hour away or Bangkok city center 2.5 hours away. Driving time to Bangkok international airport is just under 2 hours (1,700 baht by taxi).
