No need for chemicals or expensive pool boys. Filters and pumps are from Hayward, and the remote RGB LED lightning was imported from New Zealand.
The house has a central sound system with remote controlled ceiling speakers on the terrace and master bedroom and bathroom.
Every room has hardwired network, Wifi access point and TV connection.
A sophisticated imported 32 zone wireless alarm system, with emergency room and SMS reporting function, is installed with passive IR motion sensors in every room and magnetic sensors on every door, window and insect screen.
Perimeter wall has been cladded with slate stone, so also maintenace free.
Low pitched roof, tiled with Ceris clay tiles and 1 meter roof overhangs all around to protect walls and windows from sun and rain.
Reflective waterproof insulation foil under the tiles and 6" fibre wool on top of the ceilings.
Water to the house is provided by a 40 meter deep bore-hole, with a 3 stage whole house water softener and filter system. Communal water connection is available, but with 7500 liter of underground storage tanks there is no need for.
To take care of the septic system 3 western style in-ground septic tanks with connected seeping tanks were installed.
The garden has a 4 zone computer programmed irrigation system from Weathermatic with in-ground pop-up Hunter MP rotators and 2Hp Mitsubishi super pump. To store all garden tools a garden shed with attached gazebo was built in the garden.
The house has its own private transformer, so no low power issues.
A high speed internet connection is installed as well.
All utility connections to the house were done in ground.
The area is 100% flood free.
