This 2004 model was commissioned by two experienced American sailors for their retirement circumnavigation, which they used to cruise through the Caribbean, Panama Canal and across the Pacific. On arrival in Australia, changed circumstances led to the sale of of Gypsea Rover to the next owners who commissioned German Frers to design the custom hard dodger and completed other modifications and upgrades. Gypsea Rover is Hull #31 and the first Hylas to be upgraded with a triple-spreader rig and 125 HP engine.
