1978 Volkswagen Passat GLS

1978 Volkswagen Passat GLS

  • 17 May 2024 : 22:08 pm

1978 Volkswagen Passat GLS This is the most desired version of this car, the "facelift" hatchback. GLS is a combination of the TS sport version with the GL luxury version, or at least as was the state of "luxury" trim levels for VW in 1978. I'm not sure of what exactly makes the sport version different. It does have the progressive carburetor. It may have better performing suspension and larger engine as well. The 1978 Passat differs from the 1978 Dasher in that it retains the earlier Euro style dashboard. In the US the Dasher had already switched to the newer dashboard. Note that this car is located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. I am selling this because I had to return to the US suddenly after my father passed away. I left the car with our son to take care of it, and transferred the title to my brother in law. Our son speaks English, so we can make an appointment with him if you are in Thailand. Otherwise, you can direct inquiries to me, and I can coordinate with him to make arrangements to pick up the car and DLT (DMV) paperwork. If you do not live in Thailand, I will also provide an English bill of sale along with the Thai registration/title book and DLT transfer papers. My brother in law will sign the Thai transfer papers. If you are registering the car in another country, they probably will only want the English bill of sale and title, but the procedure may vary in your country. Check with your local DMV before purchasing. You can see a video of the car being driven if you search YouTube for video number FQquGBXG7RA. Only 9 photos are allowed here, so message me for a link to the complete photo album for this car. Recent work New tires New battery Brake shoes and pads front and rear New rear brake cylinders New right front CV joint Carburetor rebuild New fuel filter, air filter, oil change, and oil filter New timing belt, fan belt, and AC belt Our son says the AC still blows cold and strong What doesn't work Clock Odometer The underside pictures were taken right after I had the undercoating refreshed around 2019. The underside is dusty now. In the dashboard picture you can see a horn button just to the right. I don't know why the mechanic installed this because I just installed a fresh ground wire through the steering column before I left. The car has been well maintained. I have had the car since about 2008. A friend of the family said the previous owner was a doctor based on a permit sticker that used to be on the windshield. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge. I am not responsible for any other faults that I may not be aware of. This is a vintage car. Buyer must be aware that vintage cars need frequent care. Car is sold as is. No refunds accepted for any additional faults or problems that may occur after receiving the car. If the buyer is concerned about defects I may not have discovered, buyer is responsible to arrange for an inspection prior to purchase. If not coming to look at it, buyer is responsible to judge from the photos whether or not the car is satisfactory to needs and expectations. I am willing to coordinate with the shipper of your choice to pick up the car. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and any taxes, fees, duties, etc.

Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Player DMP-BD60K

Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Player DMP-BD60K

  • 30 Apr 2024 : 06:09 am

Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Player DMP-BD60K This player is still being sold new by Amazon for $336.99. I never used this player very much. I may have played 20 or 30 movies on it over the years. The case shows light wear, but is overall clean and presentable. This model gets great reviews for color quality and for upgrading DVD playback to 1080p. Manufacturer quick features read as follows: BD-Live enabled Film makers version with PHL Chip for accurate color SD Card Slot and USB slot 1080P Upconvert The full specifications sheet and factory description follow at the end of this listing. Also, ignore references to supporting Viera Cast streaming video. Panasonic switched to Viera Connect in 2011, and the two systems are not compatible. Panasonic doesn't provide any cords except the AC source. As their product info says: "What's in the box Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray Disc Player, remote control, instruction manual" I only have the instruction manual in PDF format, but I am including a free HDMI cable. If you would prefer to use this with composite video or component video cables instead, let me know and I will send those instead of HDMI. AC cord included as well. This unit plays Blu-ray discs labeled for Region A (includes USA and Thailand) and all region/region free discs. It plays DVDs labeled Region 1 (USA and Canada) and all region/region free DVDs. Many DVDs sold in Thailand are region free, but Region 3 discs are also common here. Various websites have information on unlocking the region system by means of remote control codes or hardware modification. Player is US sourced for 110 volts. (I found a 110 volt adapter on Lazada for under 150 baht.) 200 baht shipping in Thailand. Product Description The DMP-BD60 is a Blu-ray Disc player that has a wealth of features, combined with good performance. Blu-ray discs are played at 1080p via HDMI output. This player is compatible with standard DVDs, most recordable DVD formats, CDs. Standard DVDs are upscaled up to 1080p via the HDMI output. Onboard decoding or undecoded bitstream output of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD is provided via HDMI. The DMP-BD60 adheres to Blu-ray Profile 2.0 specifications, and as an added bonus, the Viera Cast feature allows direct access to online. From the Manufacturer The Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray Disc Player combines high quality images with enhanced networking functions. Continuing its commitment to producing products that stress ease of use, the 2009 line of Blu-ray Disc players continue to incorporate VIERA Link, allowing the consumer to operate their audio/video components, via HDMI, with one remote. And, in keeping with Panasonic’s pledge to reduce the planet’s carbon footprint, the new Blu-ray players have been designed to reduce power consumption. BD Live and BonusView so you can connect directly to the Internet to access bonus features, games and movie studio extras. SD memory card and USB slot so you can enjoy precious memories in HD Click to enlarge. Experience Movies Like Never Before The DMP-BD60 employs the PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus. Developed in collaboration with Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, this high image processing technology reproduces clear, vivid colors that are faithful to the original film. Recognizing that audio is important to the overall entertainment experience, this Blu-ray Disc player features a high definition audio decoder (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential) to take advantage of the exceptionally high quality 7.1 channel surround sound now integrated in Blu-ray Discs. Experience Movies Like Never Before The DMP-BD60 includes an SD Memory card slot and USB slot, making it easy for the consumer to view and share both digital still images and HD video recorded with an HD camcorder in the AVCHD format. In order to produce the ultimate picture quality, the Panasonic’s DMP-BD60 Blu-ray players employs high precision 4:4:4 signal technology, which working in tandem with PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction, to compliment vertical direction processing. P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing for HD) is another technology that contributes to the superior picture quality of the Blu-ray players. P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimal processing to every pixel. Panasonic’s Blu-ray players further utilize 16-level motion detection to categorize the image motion of each pixel into one of 16 levels; diagonal processing to detect diagonals and correct the pixels accordingly; 1080p up-conversion to up-convert content recorded in the 480i/p or 720p format to 1080p. The Blu-ray players also provide 1080/24p output, thereby reproducing cinema images from a Blu-ray Disc and DVD in their original 24p form with no need for conversion. This allows the user to enjoy cinema images in the same format used in cinema with a 1080/24p compatible TV. Complimenting the HD audio codecs this Blu-ray player features 96kHz surround re-master, a function that enhances the sound quality of CDs and other sources, and even improves the quality of the multi-channel audio data on Blu-ray Discs and DVDs. ENERGY STAR Rated In order to obtain a reduction in power consumption the Panasonic DMP-BD60 uses Auto Power Stand-By, a function that automatically turns off the player when you return to TV operation using the VIERA Link menu. In addition, the Stand-by Power Save automatically turns off the player’s Quick Start function. When VIERA is turned on, Quick Start also turns on. In addition, the development of the UniPhier single chip LSI makes it possible to pack an entire video signal processing circuit onto a single chip. This helps lower power consumption, reduces the number of parts needed and allows for a more compact design. In fact, the DMP-BD60 consumes 16% less power in standby mode than last year’s model, the DMP-BD35. House with land for sale Mae Chan

House with land for sale Mae Chan

  • 30 Apr 2024 : 06:09 am

House For Sale 4 BEDROOMS (2 with air conditioning) 2 Bathrooms, Kitchen, parking, 4-5 cars, scenic views, cool breezes. If interested, let us know and come see it! This is a two story home in typical Thai layout with living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and one bath on the ground floor; and three bedrooms, one bath, and a back porch on the upper floor. The kitchen has an additional storage nook behind and under the staircase. The two blue bedrooms upstairs have air conditioners. There is also a balcony at the front of the house. The home is on a large piece of land with many outbuildings. In Thai measurements, the lot is 3 rai 1 ngan 88 talong wa, which is 5,552 square meters, or about 1.37 acres. There is a large gated car port area attached to the home which can be used as additional living area, a parking area, or both. There is a separate very large area that can be used for additional parking and/or equipment storage. I noticed one additional restroom in this area, rather rough and just for use while working. The property was used by the previous resident as a hog and chicken ranch and fish farm. As of this writing, there are still a few chickens on the property and the large fish pond still has fish. There are additional utility sheds around the property that were used to support the work. There is also a small orchard with just a few fruit trees. I don't know the names of these fruits, so check the photos if you are knowledgeable about this. The boundaries of the property can be seen by the cement wall that surrounds it. The property is located in Mae Chan, about halfway between Chiang Rai and Mae Sai not far off the main highway at Ban Pa Bong, Moo 1, Pa Tueng Subdistrict, Mae Chan District. It's on a narrow concrete paved road that ends right after it passes the house. Beyond the house it becomes a dirt road. Seller will pay all costs for the property transfer to the buyer. Buyer is in possession of the chanote deed and ready to transfer. I am posting this for my Thai relatives who asked me to help with English speaking buyers. My uncle is free most of the time to show the home. Message for more photos or an appointment. Sorry the chanote does not indicate the square meters of the home itself.
