The roof was SCG Top Hat system with galvanized framing. Top end stuff.
In addition, the house is currently insured and has been well taken care of by Rentokil company since day one to routinely check and spray to prevent termites. This is to protect the wooden joinery.
The materials used were high grade i.e.: Tiger brand steals...each congregate was checked and observed when poured to maintain the high quality with less water (between you and me).
I watched every pile went into the ground and every concrete truck. Plus, I watered the beams every day after the pouring and covered with sacks...all done to a very high spec b/c it was meant to be our family home.
The roof was also high spec with gouvernante (not sure how to spell this). l and not ordinary steals which could rust. The roof was also tiling (high grade tiles). Joint between concrete and wooden joinery are well checked and done to the Fa-rang standard, not Thais'.
Latches and bolts are also high grade.
Plenty of rooms for expansion as house is built further back. Open plan with very high ceiling colonial home with direction that maximise the sunshine and sea breeze.
