Key Features
The FT1 mount adapter allows NIKKOR F mount lenses to be used with Nikon 1 cameras equipped with a Nikon 1 mount. The angle of view of an F mount lens mounted on the FT1 is equivalent to that of a 35mm format lens with a focal length about 2.7 x longer.
The FT1 can be used with more than 80 lenses, representing almost all the NIKKOR lenses currently on the market(*1).
It almost goes without saying that it also supports autoexposure/autofocus(*2) and vibration reduction(*3). Electronic rangefinding is available in manual focus mode. You can also explore the new forms of expression offered by the Nikon 1's unique Motion Snapshot mode(*4).
*1DX-format F-mount NIKKOR lenses can also be used with the FT1 mount adapter. IX-NIKKOR lenses, AF lenses for the F3AF, non-AI lenses, teleconverters, and auto extension rings cannot be used.
*2Autofocus is available only with AF-S, AF-P lenses; other lenses support manual focus only. Set the camera focus mode to AF-S (the camera will not focus in other autofocus modes). The only AF-area mode available is Single-point AF and the camera focuses on the subject in the center focus point only.
*3Available with VR lenses. Vibration reduction is always ON when shooting with a VR lens that has no Vibration reduction ON/OFF switch.
*4Motion Snapshots can be recorded only when an AF-S or AF-P lens is attached and AF-S (Single AF) is selected for focus mode and then only when the camera is in focus. Available only when autofocus is used with AF-S lenses.

Product description
The FT1 Mount Adapter allows you to use certain legacy F Mount NIKKOR lenses (those designed for use with Nikon D-SLR/SLR cameras) on the Nikon 1 V1. The Mount Adapter is attached to the Nikon 1 V1 and the F Mount NIKKOR lens then attached to the adapter. The FT1 will add an angle of view of 2.7 times that of the F Mount NIKKOR lens' focal length.FEATURES: To use the FT-1, the Nikon 1 J1/V1 camera's firmware must be updated to at least version 1.10. F mount lenses mounted on the FT-1 have a crop factor of 2.7×. Enjoy an angle of view equivalent to that of a super telephoto lens when a telephoto lens is used. (Example: When using a 300mm lens, the equivalent angle of view is that of an 800mm lens.) When using the FT-1 and a compatible AF-S NIKKOR F-Mount lens, users can take full advantage of the Nikon 1's high-speed continuous shooting of 10/30/60 fps. (*When an AF-S lens is used. However, focus is locked with the first shot with continuous shooting.) [P], [S], [A], and [M] exposure modes can be used with CPU lenses. Vibration reduction (VR) functions when VR lenses are used. Enable vibration reduction, or specify a setting, using switches on the lens. NORMAL/ACTIVE modes are supported when lenses equipped with these modes are used. VR functions in NORMAL mode when lenses not equipped with the NORMAL/ACTIVE modes are used. The Smart Photo Selector function cannot be used. Supports 65 existing F-mount NIKKOR lenses AF/AE supported with AF-S lenses only. Autofocusing is possible when AF-S lenses are used. However, focus mode must be set to AF-S (Single AF) and AF-area mode is fixed at Single-point with only the center focus point used. The focus indicator (rangefinder) can be used with CPU lenses.
