Building: A detached bungalow, mosquito-tight; 1 bedroom with 2 windows facing terrace and pond, furniture is 2 single beds (with mattress 3.5 × 6.5 ft = 108 × 200 cm, the beds can be moved together like a double bed), table and chairs, laptop friendly workspace, wardrobe, shelves, fan; 1 veranda-like living room combined with a fully equipped small kitchen (with single burner gas hob, microwave, refrigerator, sink), with sitting area providing views over the pond and garden, wall fan; bathroom with hand-wash basin, Western type of toilet, hot shower (gas); external washing machine. Private out-door living area, a little garden (lakeside) adjacent to 2 sides of the bungalow, with terrace, and with a private pier for direct access to the natural community swimming pond.
Shared: Park-like natural community garden, with pathways, sitting areas, canals, bridges, ponds, tall trees and bamboos, wild edible plants and fruit trees, most of the area can be explored and used for recreation. The natural swimming pond, 300 ft (90 m) long and 23 ft (7 m) deep, is accessible for the community, and can also be used for boating and fishing on request. Laundry with shared washing machine is located at the Clerodendrum Chalet.
Facilities: WiFi Internet throughout, tap water (drinkable), electricity 220 V, parking (1 car or 1 motorbike) within the property, using the boat on the big pond, using barbecue equipment in the garden.
Food: Self-catering. Delivery services for groceries and ready meals (Thai, Western) are available. A few food stalls serving Thai dishes, and small grocery stores for daily needs are within walking distance.
Transportation: Public transportation available from the street adjacent to the property; fare to Chiang Mai 60 Baht. App-based car-sharing service from Grab available. Private transportation by renting a car, motorbike, scooter or bicycle, details on request.
Pets: Several cats and one dog live outdoors on the property. Therefore, guests with their own pets unfortunately can not be accommodated.
Suitability: This rustic bungalow is best for a person or a couple who likes nature and an inspiring tranquil environment, e.g. the elderly, retirees, writers, artists, digital nomads, for people on long-stay vacation and sabbatical leave, for employees working in the east, northeast or southeast of Chiang Mai.
Rental rates: 7,500 Baht per month including all utilities (e.g. electricity, tap water, gas, WiFi). Minimum commitment 2 months rent.
